Map to Healing
The term “healing” is a profound one. It often provokes a deeper wisdom inside of us, which can lead to an inspired, adventurous, and -at times- challenging journey. Whether a patient is healing from something physical, emotional, or psychological, the possibility of a healthier, more balanced life is always at the horizon. With the right team and guidance by your side, tools at your disposal, and a positive outlook, healing is inevitable. It is important to keep in mind that your body has the innate ability to heal itself. Here is a road map that describes the important steps of your healing journey. Today marks the first day, congratulations!
Initial Consult
This will provide the necessary information to identify and address the underlying causes of your symptoms. It includes an in-depth inquiry of your symptoms, past medical history, and what you want from your holistic health program.
Create the Right Program for You
Every program is individually designed by
Dr. Salzarulo for his patients; no two programs are identical. This is because every individual has different underlying causes and unique histories that factor into their health. Your health program must be designed to address your specific underlying causes, considering your lifestyle, past medical history, environment, diet, genetics, and emotional history, which may include trauma.
Make Changes in Diet and Lifestyle
Almost always, a large component of holistic healing is to make the appropriate and needed changes to one’s diet and lifestyle. There are specific dietary recommendations for different health challenges- making the right diet, at the right time, under the right circumstances, key to healing. Additionally, lifestyle factors such as rest, hydration, movement, stress management, and detoxification practices are vital for the body to restore its balance and maximize its healing potential.
Test as Needed
It is important to know what can be driving your symptoms, and what is “under the hood.” Some of the key drivers of your health challenges may be viruses,
food sensitivities, hormone imbalances, heavy metal toxicity, fungus and mold, parasites, Lyme disease and coinfections, and environmental toxins. Testing for these things, as well as blood tests to check for the general function of the body’s physiology, and stool testing to assess the microbiome and inflammatory markers in the gut, are crucial in understanding where symptoms are rooted. Not all these tests are necessary for everyone. Your symptom profile will be the guide in choosing which tests are appropriate. And, most of these tests are reasonably priced and can be taken at home.
The Power of Inspiration, Guidance, and Motivation
We need to keep in mind that the greatest gifts we can give our body, and the healing process, are compassion and patience as healing takes time and is often non-linear. You will receive a health program after each visit that will have your specific health recommendations clearly written out for you. You will also receive different educational handouts that contain useful information regarding your holistic health journey. In addition, you may receive recommendations for YouTube videos, articles, and books to help keep you inspired and well-informed on your health journey. The goal is to empower you to live a life of vibrant health.
